Dr Sabine Christiansen Sabine Christiansen

Dr Sabine Christiansen is currently a fellow at the IASS. In the course of her five-month stay at the institute, she is investigating the potential environmental effects of deep-sea mining, particularly in the light of existing international and European commitments to (marine) environmental protection. Christiansen holds a diploma in biology and a PhD in biological oceanography and has been working for many years on a freelance basis in the field of marine environmental protection.
