Sonja Thielges

Sonja Thielges joined the IASS as a research associate in August 2016. Her work focuses on the international dimension of the Energiewende and the G20’s energy agenda. Prior to this, Sonja was a member of the Americas Division at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), where she worked on US climate and energy policy. Sonja holds an MA in North American Studies, Political Science and Modern History from Freie Universität Berlin. She is currently working on a PhD project on climate policy discourses at the state level in the USA.
